Wedding Videographer in Santa Monica, CA

Wedding videography in Santa Monica that fits the place

Santa Monica weddings bring wide beaches, the pier at sunset, the Palisades Park bluffs and hotel ballrooms facing the ocean. Ocean wind ruins on-camera audio, so beachfront vows get lavalier microphones and wind protection.

Every film collection includes a highlight film plus full ceremony and speech edits, so the words that matter are kept in sequence, not just in a montage.

Santa Monica wedding venues and filming locations

Popular Santa Monica wedding settings include:

• Shutters on the Beach and other oceanfront hotels
• Fairmont Miramar-area hotel venues
• the Annenberg Community Beach House
• Santa Monica restaurants with private event rooms

For establishing shots and couple scenes we often look at Palisades Park palms above the beach, the sand south of the pier at sunset, the Santa Monica Stairs area for active couples, or Main Street early in the day. Every venue sets its own vendor rules, and we follow them.

Permits, access and travel in Santa Monica

Santa Monica requires a permit for commercial still photography in public spaces including the beach and pier, so beach portrait plans include permit time and cost. Source: City of Santa Monica film & photo permits.

Westside traffic is the main variable; morning or early-evening moves are much faster than late afternoon.
